🏷️ Transaction Tags

Organize your spending with custom colored tags. Tag a vacation, flag something for review, mark work expenses — tags work alongside categories so you can slice your data any way you need.

✨ Create & manage tags

• Manage Tags button in the transactions toolbar — create tags with a name and color, drag to set priority order, edit or delete anytime

• Create on the fly — type a name in any tag picker and hit "Create" without leaving what you're doing. Zerosum auto-picks a vibrant color

• Priority ordering — drag tags in Manage Tags to control which color shows first when a transaction has multiple tags

🖥️ Desktop

• New Tags column between the checkbox and date — colored vertical bars show at a glance which transactions are tagged

• Click to tag — click any cell in the Tags column to open a multi-select picker. Search, toggle, done

• Sortable — click the Tags column header to group transactions by their highest-priority tag

• Inline edit — tags are part of the edit row form. Change them, hit Save (or Cancel to discard)

• Bulk tagging — select multiple transactions, click Apply Tag, toggle between Add and Remove mode

📱 Mobile

• Colored bars in the transaction details row show tags at a glance

• Action sheet → Tags opens a picker with a Save button for quick tagging

• Create tags inline from any picker — just type and tap Create

🔍 Filters & search

• Tag filter on both the transactions page and analytics — works like categories and payees (all selected by default, deselect to narrow down)

• Filter presets save your tag selection so you can switch contexts in one click

• #tagname search — type #travel in the search bar to instantly filter by tag

📊 Analytics

• Tag filtering works on all spending, income, and trend views — filter any chart by tag

• Spending by Tag — new dedicated chart (donut, columns, treemap, rose) showing how your spending breaks down across tags. Multi-tag transactions split their amount evenly so the chart always sums correctly

• Monthly Report — new "Top Tags" section alongside Top Categories and Top Payees, with click-to-drilldown

• Click any tag in charts to drill down into the underlying transactions

🔄 Recurring & undo

• Recurring templates carry tags — tag a recurring rule and every future occurrence inherits them automatically

• Full undo support — undo tag edits, bulk tag changes, and even deleted transactions restore their tags

📤 Export

• CSV export now includes a Tags column with comma-separated tag names

• Data export includes all your tags and tag-transaction associations

💅 Polish

• Vertical colored bars for tags vs circular dots for categories — instantly tell them apart

• FolderOpen icon for category actions, Tag icon for tag actions — no more visual confusion

• Help center article covering everything: creating, applying, filtering, bulk tagging, recurring, managing

• Pie chart label lines improved contrast in both light and dark mode
