π Zerosum v1.3.8 β For Next Month
β¨ For Next Month Category
Budget a month ahead, your way. A new For Next Month income category lets you defer this month's income so it appears in next month's Ready to Budget instead.
-
Defer income to next month β tag any income transaction with the "For Next Month" category and the money skips the current month entirely. It shows up in next month's Ready to Budget, ready for you to assign when the new month starts
-
Two approaches to month-ahead budgeting β budget ahead by assigning directly to future month categories, or use For Next Month to defer income without deciding allocations yet. Use whichever fits your style, or mix both. Learn more
-
Enable in Budget Settings β For Next Month is off by default. Toggle it on from Budget Settings and the category appears automatically in your income category list
-
Current month only, inflow only β the category only appears for current month transactions. Outflow is disabled β it's strictly for deferring income
-
Smart date handling β if you change a transaction's date to a different month, the For Next Month category is automatically cleared
π Ready to Budget Improvements
-
Budget Calculation dialog β tap the info icon on the Ready to Budget card to see exactly how your number is calculated: account balances minus what's available in categories, minus deferred income, minus money budgeted ahead. The math always adds up
-
FNM status on card β when all money is assigned and some is deferred, the card shows the deferred amount (e.g. "$500.00 for next month") instead of just "All money assigned"
π§ Fixes & Improvements
-
Spending Pace hidden on future months β the section title no longer shows with empty content when viewing months that haven't started yet
-
Hold system removed β the old hold/auto-hold feature has been replaced entirely by For Next Month. If you were using hold, your workflow is now simpler β just use the For Next Month category instead
